Women and Children Hospital, Thycaud

Established on 1814 by Her Highness Sethu Parvathy Bai from the Royal Travancore family. Started as a dispensary and later converted to Health centre on 1839.

Started functioning as Women & Children hospital since 1914.

Dr. Ponnen Lukose (India's first women surgeon)was appointed here.(1916-1938)

NABH Accreditation on 2012-2015, First W&C Hospital in Kerala.
